Ms. Kolligs works as a policy officer in Unit Visa and Borders of Directorate General Justice, Freedom and Security. Her main task is to define, implement and co-ordinate policy, legislative and operational developments regarding Visa Policy and in particular the harmonization of travel documents and their security features.

She also assumes the Secretariat of the committee created by Article 6 Committee of Regulation (EC) 1683/95 on a uniform format for visa. This committee is chaired by the Commission and composed of experts from Member States. It is responsible to develop technical specifications for the uniform format for visas, residence permits for third country nationals, Facilitated Travel Documents (FTD), Facilitated Rail Travel Documents (FRTD), passports and other travel documents issued by Member States.

Ms. Kolligs also ensures the representation of the Commission at other international institutions such as ICAO.
